My name is Weston Urquhart. I’m 19 years old and currently studying to graduate from Sacramento State with a degree in Communications. I’ve been an avid sports fan and athlete my entire life, being especially passionate about football.
I grew up dreaming of someday making it to the NFL. When I was nine years old and set to start my football career, my family moved to Rwanda, where I spent the next four years. Not wanting to give up on my dream, I organized an after-school flag football club where I taught my fellow classmates and friends how to play American Football.
When I moved to California before my 8th grade year, I took a year to get accustomed to life in the US before starting football in high school. I played football, soccer and ran track in high school. Although I was successful in every sport that I played, I realized that I wasn’t quite good enough to be able to play at a high level in college. I still enjoy playing just about any sport with friends and am still one of the biggest football fans you will ever meet.
